May 21st… the BEST day to get married all year.
Okay, I’m probably biased; Jimmy and I got married on May 21st in 2005. So, we definitely enjoyed being with another May 21st couple as they tied the knot!
Lindsay and Sebastian were surrounded by their wonderful friends and family as they incorporated Polish traditions into their American wedding. Many of Sebastian’s family members flew over from Poland for the wedding, which meant lots of Polish being spoken. And if it’s not English or Spanish, I can’t understand it. Hahaha! But it was fun to listen! And WOW, Polish weddings are long and fun. And they love to eat, sing, and dance! And who wouldn’t hit the dance floor with The Flying Toasters rocking your reception?!
I’m all about being modern and doing your own thing… but it is a beautiful thing to honor your heritage. Polish weddings involve so many wonderful traditions, including the Bread and Salt Toast. The Dollar Dance, frequently done at weddings, originated in Poland! Lindsay and Sebastian incorporated many of these traditional Polish wedding activities into their reception.

Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!! I am in love with these photos! And, while the photos of Lindsay and Sebastian rock, I must say that I DIG the photos of the band members of the Flying Toasters – I can hear them singing just looking at them!
Thanks, April!! It was awesome working with you! And I looooove The Flying Toasters now! I would totally go see them play anywhere!
