Sri and Malia… they are one of the coolest couples ever. And sweetest. I’ve pretty much been in love with them since the day I met them in Marvin’s, which was good, because I knew we were going to have to spend a long long long day together on their wedding day! A traditional Indian wedding lasts about three days, but Malia and Sriram, being of different heritages, had a hybrid Catholic-Indian celebration. There was an Indian ceremony in the morning, followed by brunch, then a Catholic ceremony, and then a dinner reception.
If you read our previous wedding post (Monica and Josh’s Destination Wedding in Jamaica)… let me put Malia and Sri’s wedding into the timeline for you. Monica and Josh got married Thursday, we flew back Friday (almost missed our flight due to customs, and TSA held my luggage so it missed the flight), landed in Indy around 11 pm, drove home, woke up at 6 to head to Terre Haute for Malia and Sri’s wedding. It was a whirlwind! And the coolest part was that many of the family members said, “Did you get your luggage?” or “I heard you were in Jamaica yesterday!” It was so awesome to be treated as a friend and valued part of the wedding. It just made Malia and Sri’s wedding all that much more special to us.
PS – When I win the lottery, Sri is going to be my IT manager. He has helped me through our Mac change over several times!
