Category Archives: Family “Lifestyle Photography” is a relatively new term that has been coined in our industry, and I really love what it implies… that we should photograph people how they live, not in perfect poses on backdrops. This session is a perfect example of this type of family photography! Kids, go karts, goats… that IS the Harcourt…  We’re back again with one of my favorite families! I’ve photographed their family since their daughter Ainsley was very little, and I was so happy to be able to photograph their new baby boy, Collin!  It’s always good to see old friends, so I was happy when my high school friend Derek contacted me about doing a newborn session for his new daughter, Kenzy! So I got to meet Kenzy, Derek’s older daughter Gwen, and Derek’s beautiful wife Mallory! PS – Not sure why, but I was just feeling…  Even though it’s freezing outside, sometimes you still have to take photos… so what better way to have fun that to break out some tacky Christmas props?! I knew this type of session would be perfect for my friend Jessi (the hot chick in the red sweater) because she makes any situation completely hysterical! PS…  This beautiful little girl is the first baby of my 2010 New Year’s Eve bride and groom! (You know, the wedding I shot 11 days after I had Tucker by c-section.
