It was a collllllllld and sunny day for Andrea and Chris’s wedding in Fort Wayne! We headed up for our last wedding of 2011 to be with this super cute couple, who obviously love each other very much. Their reception was very lively, with their friends dancing the night away!

Even though it’s freezing outside, sometimes you still have to take photos… so what better way to have fun that to break out some tacky Christmas props?!

I knew this type of session would be perfect for my friend Jessi (the hot chick in the red sweater) because she makes any situation completely hysterical!

This beautiful little girl is the first baby of my 2010 New Year’s Eve bride and groom! (You know, the wedding I shot 11 days after I had Tucker by c-section. Yeah, that one… the girl with the awesome purple shoes.)

PS – Ashley opened the door to let me in and I was flabbergasted… she didn’t even look like she’d been pregnant! So jealous! You’re gorgeous as always, Ashley!

Leslie and Andrew | Avon Engagement Session

Leslie and Andrew flew in all the way from Minnesota, so this was one of those do or die kind of sessions! We hoped for no rain, but we knew we would have to shoot no matter what! BUT, we got lucky and got our session in just before the rain started!

PS – I am so jealous of Leslie’s beautiful hair!

Vicki and Mike | Indiana Rustic Barn Wedding

Prepare yourself for detail overload!

Vicki and Mike were our beautiful Jamaica couple from earlier this year (see photos from their destination wedding), and it was time for their Indiana celebration!

Vicki and I have gotten to be friends over the course of this whole year and a half long process, so I helped her out where I could with the planning of her reception. We even had a life changing moment together. No, I’m not going to go into details. Hahaha!

The love and hard work that these two put into this reception really shined as their guests arrived and saw all of the beautifully handmade decorations and tasted the wonderful food and drinks! It was an awesome way to kick off fall (which begins in like November now, as our Indiana weather would have us believe.)

I LOVE these people. They just GET it. They don’t think I’m crazy when I ask them to stand beside a crappy looking building. They always take such care in selecting their outfits, because they know it matters (it helps that Toni has a fashion degree!)

Despite the wind and not-so-warm temperatures, I think we knocked this one out of the park!

Jenna and Tom | Jasper Indiana Wedding

Over the course of getting to know Tom and Jenna… this American has learned a couple of things about Brits…

1. You know how we all think they have bad teeth? Well, they don’t. They have quite nice teeth, actually.

2. You know how we can’t understand them when they talk fast? Well, they can’t understand us either.

3. You know how in “Letters To Juliet,” they accuse Brits of being unromantic? Obviously they haven’t met Tom.

PS – Grooms, if you want to win huge points with your new wife and all of her girlfriends, make a toast to her during dinner! (Check out the shots from Tom’s toast to Jenna below!)

PPS – Jenna’s sorority sisters gathered around her and sang a song during the reception… that’s one of the best sorority/fraternity traditions I’ve seen yet!

Nicole and Max | Bloomington Engagement Session

(Don’t tell anyone I said this, but Bloomington has some excellent locations.)

Nicole and Max rocked this session. And for a guy that calls himself traditional, Max was open to my strange requests! In the end, we were all happy at the end of this session! I couldn’t be happier with the way the images turned out… I mean, these people climbed up on the awning of a restaurant for Pete’s sake. (PS, thank you to the man at Buffa Louie’s who insisted that we get them up there!)
